Recognizing the requirement of innovative and technologically advanced diagnostic products in India, Morepen created a new entity for marketing of medical devices and clinical diagnostic products – “MEDIPATH”, thus, offering the consumers a host of world-class products with promise of a reliable nationwide after sales and technical backup.
In last several years of operation, this division has created a niche for itself, in the medical equipment industry, by introducing many innovative and revolutionary clinical and home diagnostics products in the country. The division launched two brands, the rapid test kits "QuickChek" and self-health diagnostic products "HomeHealth". The launch of these two brands not only consolidated Morepen's diagnostic business but also gave the company phenomenal distinction of first organized player in diagnostics in India.
HomeHealth
Under its brand Dr. Morepen HomeHealth, Morepen launched a range of self-monitoring healthcare products to manage the excessive stress of the fast paced lifestyle of today. The company already shares a JV with the world class leaders in lifestyle to cater this segment.
The present HomeHealth portfolio includes automatic Digital Blood Pressure Monitors, Digital and Analog Weighing Scales, Body & Foot Massagers, Heat Therapy Range, Nebulizers, Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems, Clinical & Digital Thermometers, etc. The company is further identifying technological leaders internationally, to keep offering innovative technologies to the Indian consumers.
Clinical Diagnostics
Medipath’s product portfolio also includes a diverse Diagnostics range of products. This range comprises of Rapid Diagnostic Test Kits under the brand name “QuickChek”, ELISA Instruments and Infectious Marker Kits, Coagulation Analyzers, and Reagents. In addition to these, the division also markets Rapid Malaria Antigen Tests “Carestart” in various formats as required for various diagnostic purposes.
With the trend of being a pioneer in bringing revolutionary technologies, Medipath has also ventured in the Immunohematology segment, by entering into a JV with M/s Immucor Inc., USA to launch their patented solid phase technology – “Capture”. M/s Immucor are the proven leaders in Immunohematology with state-of-the-art manual & automated systems backed up by total solutions for Blood Grouping & Typing, Compatibility Testing, and Antibody Screening & Identification etc.
Medipath also has the exclusive distribution rights for the distribution of the world’s only portable non-contact Vein Illumination Device – the AccuVein AV300, in India. This patented product is the winner of the 2010 Medical Design Excellence Award and has also been named the best new product for pediatricians by the Contemporary Pediatrics magazine.
Today, the Medipath division has an all India network of more than to 700 distributors, 4000 top retailers and also caters to 9000 Hospitals, 10000 Clinical Laboratories & 2000 Blood Banks.
